I’m trying to validate the instllation but I’m stuck with “There seem to be problems with that address”

How does it verify the e-mailadress?
What is going wrong?
(Running an Ubuntu on MS Azure)
Having similar issue: How is the email address provided with --email verified? For now I’m using --register-unsafely-without-email. But that’s not really what I want.
Error creating new registration :: Validation of contact mailto:webmaster@xzy.org failed: Server failure at resolver
The MX for xyz.org is in a different domain in my case.
