I received an email alerting me that my certificate was soon to expire for my domain silentmessengers.org. The email stated that my certificate will expire September 5, 2019 (20 days from now).
However; when I manually attempted to renew my certificate, the response came back that my certificate is still valid and will not expire for 49 more days.
Is this normal? Why don’t the two match, and which one is correct?
If your certificate is already renewed, we won’t send an expiry notice. We consider a certificate to be renewed if there is a newer certificate with the exact same set of names, regardless of which account created it. If you’ve issued a new certificate that adds or removes a name relative to your old certificate, you will get expiration email about your old certificate. If you check the certificate currently running on your website, and it shows the correct date, no further action is needed.
Your recent certificates are for both silentmessengers.org and www.silentmessengers.org, but you have an older certificate for only silentmessengers.org that expires September 5.
