CSS not loading after installing ssl godaddy

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. crt.sh | example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:www.valuechainplanning.com

I am using GOdaddy cpanel
I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): yes

Hi please help I installed ssl and now the CSS wont load!

Welcome to the Let's Encrypt Community, Shruthi :slightly_smiling_face:

That's probably because the CSS file is being included with an http address instead of an https address, which is known as having mixed content.

HI Griffin thank you.. so sorry I am in panic mode completely forgot my etiquettes

Also, your certificate only covers www.valuechainplanning.com and thus doesn't cover valuechainplanning.com, which will give you problems. You need your certificate to cover both.

You can see your certificate history here:

https://crt.sh/?q=valuechainplanning.com

No worries about niceties, my friend. I fully understand the panic. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you uninstalled the certificate while your webserver configuration is still using it, that will cause errors.

I have your answer. :face_with_monocle: You don't explicitly have mixed content, but since ALL of your CSS references begin with https://valuechainplanning.com, which isn't covered by your certificate as I explained before, those references will appear insecure and thus not load. Just request a new certificate covering both valuechainplanning.com and www.valuechainplanning.com then all should be well.

I think I understand what u say, How do I fix it though? I atleast want the website to load to a previous state with or without ssl ... how do I proceed

valuechainplanning.com for that where do I load the file , I mean the public html has only a folder called valuechainplanning

For verification I have only one root folder called valuechainplanning, so when I load the file to verify for valuechainplanning it comes back with 404

So, www.valuechainplanning.com is just an alias (CNAME) of valuechainplanning.com, so you should just be able to request a certificate like you have already done, but include both names in the request.

Your webserver appears to be functional when I check it with redirect-checker.org.

What's the output of this command?

sudo apachectl -S

Griffin the site is not loading after doing it with valuechainplanning.com

That's because you didn't include both names on one certificate, so now your certificate only covers valuechainplanning.com. How are you requesting your certificates?

I get the below message , I did include both the names
www.valuechainplanning.com took too long to respond

Try:

ERR_TIMED_OUT

Oh... lord. Please don't use that. Does PHP work on your webserver?

Nevermind. It's GoDaddy, so I know it does. Use CertSage (my ACME client) instead. I'll send you the directions.
