Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

Hi,

I am creating the SSL certificate and have followed all steps as outlined here: https://blogbix.com/free-ssl-for-lifetime-complete-guide-setup/

When I create the SSL certificate I get the following error page:

“Domain “deepfilip.com” challenge3 failed. Response from “https://acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/challenge/c3wAbLVxQAk0RaSqtoT35I1QYIpLjmS38dVj71etwmI/2386545936” was: { “type”: “http-01”, “status”: “invalid”, “error”: { “type”: “urn:acme:error:unauthorized”, “detail”: “Invalid response from http://deepfilip.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/uhKzrLaf-x4htAHQSzDGnWpYmAHQAXNGtJcb0E4GcgU: “

404 Not Found

Not Found

<p””, “status”: 403 }, “uri”: “https://acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/challenge/c3wAbLVxQAk0RaSqtoT35I1QYIpLjmS38dVj71etwmI/2386545936”, “token”: “uhKzrLaf-x4htAHQSzDGnWpYmAHQAXNGtJcb0E4GcgU”, “keyAuthorization”: “uhKzrLaf-x4htAHQSzDGnWpYmAHQAXNGtJcb0E4GcgU.-U_HEtcoGsYR1Vf9FG4DrEnBTPKmt30KJlsZ9mVUx_Q”, “validationRecord”: [ { “url”: “http://deepfilip.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/uhKzrLaf-x4htAHQSzDGnWpYmAHQAXNGtJcb0E4GcgU”, “hostname”: “deepfilip.com”, “port”: “80”, “addressesResolved”: [ “160.153.131.149”, “2a02:2268:ffff:ffff::4” ], “addressUsed”: “2a02:2268:ffff:ffff::4”, “addressesTried”: [] } ] }”

I have checked my file permissions when uploading and even changed to 755 instead of 644

I have tried it multiple times and the files are in the correct folder on my server as I am getting the response I should. However when I click create certificate I get the aforementioned error.

Any idea what could go wrong?

Hi @Filipek,

According to your DNS records, this service is available in both IPv4 (160.153.131.149) and IPv6 (2a02:2268:ffff:ffff::4). However, the content returned by the web server at these two different addresses is not the same. This is probably the reason that your challenge is failing.
