Certificates per Registered Domain limit

Sorry for such a stupid question but I want to be sure

According to this Rate Limits - Let's Encrypt

The main limit is Certificates per Registered Domain, (20 per week). A registered domain is, generally speaking, the part of the domain you purchased from your domain name registrar. For instance, in the name www.example.com, the registered domain is example.com. In new.blog.example.co.uk, the registered domain is example.co.uk. We use the Public Suffix List to calculate the registered domain.

I'm not sure.

If I have 25 domains like ivan.com ivan.ru ivan-test.com etc (different domains)
Does it mean that I can generate only 20 1st week and 5 on the next week right?

And the only way to increase it is try to fill this form Let's Encrypt Rate Limit Adjustment Request Form , right?

They're different domains.

You can create certificates for millions of different domains if you want to (and if you have millions of different domains).

If you create 1 certificate, with those 3 names, it counts as 1 certificate for each of those domains.

If you create 3 certificates, each of them with one name, it counts as 1 certificate for each of those domains.

So I can easily create 50 certs for different domain (in a week).

Are you saying I can combine domains in certificates? I thoug it always possible only for subdomains?

Yes, you can combine different domains and different subdomains in the same certificate.

But you might not want to, if you're issuing a lot of certificates, due to the rate limits.

Is there a way to add this info to FAQ or maybe to page about rate limiting so idiots like me won’t steal your time next time?
