See below. I have managed to sucessfully install on my main server nationalleague.tv but this is a subdomain on a different IP. Any ideas where I am going wrong? I have checked DNS and everthing resolves correctly.
My domain is:edgestream1.nationalleague.tv
I ran this command: sudo certbot certonly --webroot -w /var/certbot -d edgestream1.nationalleague.tv
It produced this output:

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know):
The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you're using Certbot):certbot 0.31.0

Hi @mattshanahan
if you use webroot and if you have that error message, your webroot parameter is wrong.

I think people get the wrong impression about --webroot.

Why do you use
if that isn't defined?
Looks like this

root /var/www/html;
is your webroot you have to use.
But there is no matching server block, only the default server block.
