Too many certificates already issued for my domain

i tried to get a certificate using all methods of certibot: apache web server, temporary web server and webroot. i get alway the same error:
An unexpected error occurred:
There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new cert :: too many certificates already issued for: ovh.net: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/

My domain is:ovh.net

I ran this command: ./certbot-auto certonly --preferred-challenges http-01 -d vps487826.ovh.net

It produced this output:
An unexpected error occurred:
There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new cert :: too many certificates already issued for: ovh.net: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/

My web server is (include version): apache2 (2.4.25-3+deb9u3).

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):
RETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)"
NAME="Debian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_ID="9"
VERSION="9 (stretch)"
ID=debian

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): no

ovh.net isn’t on the Public Suffix List, which is used, in part, to determine rate limits.

Since it is shared between many OVH customers, you have to compete with a lot of other people trying to issue certificates for it.

I would suggest that you go use your own domain instead of relying on OVH’s.

You could also email OVH and ask them to apply for ovh.net to be added to the PSL, but this would take a long time.

thanks for your response!
Stefano
