Some of You Folks are Really Wordy

When you start writing novels, I stop reading because there is just no way you’re going to do better than War and Peace.

I can think of several books larger than that. Heck, Atlas Shrugged is about 100,000 words longer. Les Misérables is also longer. Heck, the longest English-language novel seems to be Clarissa, or, the History of a Young Lady, which is almost 1 million words.

Somehow I think nearly every long post on here, although wordy fails to compete with those works.
