Problem with ASUSwrt-Merlin on RT-AC3200 Router

Setting up certificate on router.
After clicking Apply on Webui SSL Certificate, the certificate shows
Status : Updating...
Issued to :192.168.1.1
SAN :192.168.1.1 router.asus.com RT-AC3200-0170 V78G4SZ9
Issued by :192.168.1.1
Expires on : 2022/12/14

The Status never goes Active

My domain is:https://v78g4sz9.asuscomm.com/

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):ASUSwrt-Merlin 348.13_10

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know):yes

I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):no

That is a self issued cert (self-signed). Not one from LE.
Is there a menu choice to get a cert from LE?
