Limit not reached, but have a error

I can't say that I disagree there. :upside_down_face: I'm not a fan of some of snap's issues. Unfortunately, it is the "official" way to install certbot.

I can't build it from source?

As a red-eyed-kid, who lived on Gentoo, I am not afraid of the command 'make'

Only IPv6?

Otherwise you need this too:

listen 80;

Do you want to?

https://hub.docker.com/r/certbot/certbot/

It's risky, you must remember to use your volumes correctly.

If that's too much you can try acme.sh

You can install it via pip.

sorry, mistype after uninstalling 'staging env' of certbot. Of couse, there must be 'listen 80;'

Try running this:

certbot certonly --nginx -d "blog.wintersky.ru" --dry-run
2 Likes

Of course, now all is correct:

root@blog:/etc/nginx/sites-available# certbot certonly --nginx -d "blog.wintersky.ru" --dry-run
Saving debug log to /var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log

IMPORTANT NOTES:
 - The dry run was successful.

You might need to run this first:

nginx -s reload

Of course I did it  (after fixing configs with listen 80)

I don't think --dry-run actually tries to install the certificate, I'm not sure but there's a possibility it only checks the issuing pipeline.

You can add extra.wintersky.ru A record to your DNS with same address as blog.wintersky.ru then add extra.wintersky.ru to your server_name directive then run nginx -s reload then:

certbot --nginx -d "blog.wintersky.ru,extra.wintersky.ru"

You are correct @9peppe. :slightly_smiling_face: It does not "dry run" the install.

What I gave you will get you through the week then you can issue the correct certificate (without extra) and run this to safely delete the unneeded certificate:

certbot delete --cert-name NAME

where NAME comes from:

certbot certificates

Make certain that your nginx configuration is not pointing to a certificate that you delete or your nginx will choke.
