Lets Encrypt certificate expiration

Hi all,

I use LE and Im so far happy, I have following scenario:

  • Website use https
  • But when I renew the certificate I have to open port 80 on my server and renew that and close it again, its possible to renew the certificate through port 443 or better way?

Hi @neeloj

that's the wrong way having a public visible domain name and a webserver.

Please read

If you want to have a working webserver, port 80 must be open. If you think that's a security problem - that's wrong.
