How Can I install My SSL certificate on my website?

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: http://www.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/

I ran this command: NIL

It produced this output: NIL

My web server is (include version):

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: bigrock .com

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot):

Hey Guys,

I have no idea about how to install the SSL certificate as I am not a technical person. Can you please help me how can i do so. I already tried YouTube but nothing happened.

Hi @Morinmote1

do you have root access or is it a shared hosting? Shared hosting -> limited options.

Start with some basics:

If you have root access, select a client.

If not, check, if your hoster has an integrated solution.

PS: Checking your domain you have already a certificate - https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=webhostingreviewsx.co.uk

https works:

Domainname Http-Status redirect Sec. G
http://webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/ 162.222.226.38 301 http://www.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/ 0.857
http://www.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/ 162.222.226.38 GZip used - 39872 / 108290 - 63,18 % 200 Html is minified: 129,29 % 1.456
https://webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/ 162.222.226.38 301 https://www.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/ 4.690
https://www.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk/ 162.222.226.38 GZip used - 39809 / 108288 - 63,24 % Inline-JavaScript (∑/total): 5/2935 Inline-CSS (∑/total): 5/18227 200 Html is minified: 129,30 % 5.087

There is a cPanel certificate.

CN=webhostingreviewsx.co.uk
	05.09.2019
	03.12.2019
expires in 73 days	cpanel.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk,
mail.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk, webdisk.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk,
webhostingreviewsx.co.uk, webmail.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk,
www.webhostingreviewsx.co.uk - 6 entries

And your cPanel port uses that certificate.

Two small things:

  • there are some mixed content warnings, fix these
  • Add a redirect http -> https in your cPanel, so users with http are redirected to https

But first fix your mixed content (http resource links).

PS: If you have a working cPanel, you don’t need an own client.

That's

a http connection. Add https://

http is never secure.

That's the missing redirect http -> https.
