Error creating new order :: too many failed authorizations

Attempting to renew cert (knows1.net) from /etc/letsencrypt/renewal/knows1.net.conf produced an unexpected error: urn:ietf:params:acme:error:rateLimited :: There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new order :: too many failed authorizations recently: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/. Skipping.
All renewal attempts failed. The following certs could not be renewed:
/etc/letsencrypt/live/knows1.net/fullchain.pem (failure)

Hi @knows11

please read the link in the error message.

And you have a new certificate, but it looks curious - https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=knows1.net#ct-logs

Issuer not before not after Domain names LE-Duplicate next LE
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-11-12 2020-02-10 knows1.knows1.net
1 entries duplicate nr. 1
Let's Encrypt Authority X3 2019-08-11 2019-11-09 knows1.net, www.knows1.net
2 entries

The certificate created 2019-08-11 looks ok. The new certificate has a duplicated domain name.

And your domain is invisible, only timeouts. So http validation can't work.
