Emulate a network (client, server) in virtualbox with a "letsencrypt CA"

Hello

I’m completely new to let’s encrypt, so I do not know if this is the right place to ask.

I’m going to emulate a network in virtualbox in order to develop an test a cloud system. And in this virtual network I use dnsmasq to work with domains that not registered and only exists in the virtual network.

And now I ask myself if there is a way to test https using a own “let’s encrypt CA” server in the virtual network. I’m not sure but as far as I can remember I found a hint in the net, that it should be possible. Is it?

Kind regards, Roland

Hi @go4lets

LetsEncrypt issues certificates using a software called boulder.

You can run this in your own network with an ACME client.
