Thanks for the input! I’m not sure of the security risk here? Bind is open source, and an extremely popular DNS solution, potentially the most widely used on the internet.

It's also fixed a million security vulnerabilities... Running the latest version is fine but running some out-of-date BIND is not the safest idea.
