Downloading certbot-auto Unable to locally verify the issuer's authority

I’d have a look at the alternate clients - https://letsencrypt.org/docs/client-options/ - specifically the bash ones.

I’m biased, having written GetSSL, I use that one. I think any of the bash ones should work for you though.

OK, I’ve a few questions on that, will start a new topic

You seem to be sadly mistaken about what support before EOL means. It does not mean you get the latest software. It means you get fixes so you’re not getting pwned with your ancient software. You don’t get new features. If the software from 10 years ago doesn’t know how to handle intermediates or has out-of-date root certs, support won’t provide that either way.

Keep using 10 year old stuff, but drop the smug attitude that everything should work for you.

Who mentioned support?

And who is trying to be offensive with the “smug” stuff.

I never said it should work I asked how it could be made to work.

Now unless you have anything actually helpful to contrible them perhaps you’d keep your views to yourself?.

Marking this thread closed. I think you’ve found a few possible avenues to explore and the tone from multiple parties is rapidly deteriorating.

If you have other questions please start a new thread. Thanks!
