Copy letsencrypt to new server install

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better.

My domain is:<domain.net> prefer not to say

I ran this command:rsync -a live/ /mnt/v1/jails_2/nextcloud/usr/local/etc/letsencrypt from the /mnt/v1/jails/nextcloud/usr/local/etc/letsencrypt directory

It produced this output:none

My web server is (include version):nginx version: nginx/1.12.1

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):Freenas 11U2

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:none

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):no

I had to reinstall my OS and recreate my server in a new jail. The old one is not working anymore but I have access to the files/directories. I’ve copied my ssl certs, nginx.conf and I’m trying to get letsencrypt copied as well. After issuing the rsync command above and restarting nginx if I go to the server I can get to https:// but it shows as not secure. What am I doing wrong? Need to copy old letsencrypt from jails to jails_2

When you say “it shows as not secure”, how does it do that? There are lots of specific errors that the browser could show, which have different underlying reasons.

Did you try https://whynopadlock.com/ to check for mixed content?

I’m not sure what I did but it is working now. I copied all 7 directories to the new servers jail.

renewal

Will my renewal work? When I type /usr/local/bin/certbot renew --dry-run
** DRY RUN: simulating ‘certbot renew’ close to cert expiry
** (The test certificates below have not been saved.)

Congratulations, all renewals succeeded. The following certs have been renewed:

That sounds good to me!

Thanks for your help.
