I have several applications on Cloudways - all use the free LE SSL free certificate option.
2 applications have an incorrect LE contact email address. How do I change email contact details?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi @jenij,
Supposing that you used a Let's Encrypt feature from Cloudways, you'll probably have to ask Cloudways how to do this.
Here on this forum, from the generic Let's Encrypt perspective, we would probably say "update your contact e-mail address in your Let's Encrypt ACME account using your ACME client's registration feature", but that may not be particularly helpful to you if it's not apparent how to do that inside of the Cloudways software.
Many thanks for the speedy response Schoen
Contacting Cloudways was my first idea and then I had a premonition they would just say 'contact LE Support' !
I'm off to contact Cloudways - thanks again

If you have shell access, you will have to make a new certificate, as I can assume your certificate is already signed.
The contact e-mail address is a Let's Encrypt backend database concept (that Let's Encrypt uses to send its own e-mails to subscribers), and is not part of the certificate at all.
Ah. Ok. I just read that you can use
certbot-auto register —update-registration —email email@domain.tld
anyways and your explanation makes sense.
An updated ACME account email address applies not only to newly generated certificates, but to previously generated certificates as well. This means that expiration notices for previously generated certificates will be sent to the new email address.
