I ran this command:sudo service nginx restart

It produced this output: Job for nginx.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status nginx.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot): not sure, i ran the above command to renew my certbot but it no longer can do that.

What do those two commands show?

What's in Nginx's error log? Depending on your OS, its default location might be /var/log/nginx/error.log.

What does "sudo nginx -t" show?
