Browsers report website protected by LE Cert as not secure

I have just installed a SSL certificate on my website hagogreen.site. When I browse the website, it always says the website is not secure. This happen in MS Edge, Firefox on desktop running under Windows 10. Chrome seems to be ok.

It also reported error on Safari, Firebox, Chrome running on my iphone.

Is it related to the SSL certificatge? Please advise. Thanks.

Simon

Hi @simonlee

that's expected - see https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=hagogreen.site#certificates

Your certificate

CN=hagogreen.site
	03.12.2020
	03.03.2021
expires in 89 days	hagogreen.site - 1 entry

has only one domain name, so the www version isn't secure. But the www version is defined.

Create one certificate with both domain names and use that.

Hi,

Your last advise works. I now tried to create SSL cert for our real website hagogreen.com and www.hagogreen.com and ran into the following error. Can you please let me know what’s wrong? Thanks.

So your Apache configuration is buggy.

What says

apachectl -S

A matching port 80 vHost definition with both domain names is required.

“systemctl restart apache2” return no error. Thanks.

As written, there you see your problem. Fix it.

I am sorry. Below is my vHost file. This is the same as what I used in the test site hagogreen.site and it works before. Can you please point out what is wrong? Thanks.

I got it. I forgot to change the nameservers setting. Thanks.

Simon
