Acme-challenge howto

Hello!

I am confused about this .well-known/acme-challenge things.
Is there a stepbystep howto I can follow to get this implemented and how to create a TXT-record in DNS? This is a must I guess.
And how I tell certbot to use this when a cert is renewed?
