Long time nerd. I built my first computer in 1976 - a miniscamp.
My last two jobs were as a technologist for the high power engineering group at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and as a consultant at CSIRO (commonwealth scientific and industrial research organisation). I'm retired from that kind of thing and I'm mainly a carer.

I started eddiem.com around 1995 and Nerdipedia.com in 2008.
The latter has been upgrade hell ever since.
My primary residence is an offgrid shed/house in Nimbin NSW AU but I spend a lot of time in Wynnum Qld as a carer.
