Wildcard DNS xip.io

I’m using this wildcard DNS service http://xip.io/ on some servers which don’t need dynamic DNS. No probs with Let’s Encrypt till today. New server/IP certbot request results in:

There were too many requests of a given type :: Error creating new order :: too many certificates already issued for: xip.io: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/

Is it possible to whitelist xip.io for domain/subdomain limits? There’s just no point in limiting it since it provides a subdomain for every public IP out there.

Thanks!

It might be possible to increase the rate limit. However, the domain owner need to submit a request to Let's Encrypt for the service.
Also, as the comment in this thread mentioned, I don't think this is a great idea, as it might cause security risks and might not work well.

If you are not the domain owner, you'll need to wait until the rate limit expires.

Thank you
