Currently on https://letsencrypt.org/getting-started/, users are recommended to clone whole git repository to use letsencrypt-auto script. As now the script is standalone, the site should be updated to tell users to download just letsencrypt-auto script. Also, people run servers probably don’t want to install git just to use letsencrypt.
