Unable to update Email address for notification

I ran this command: ./certbot-auto register --update-registration --email email@domain.com

It produced this output:

Certbot can obtain and install HTTPS/TLS/SSL certificates. By default,
it will attempt to use a webserver both for obtaining and installing the
certbot: error: unrecognized arguments: --update-registration

modern versions of certbot have a dedicated subcommand for that, try certbot --help
