Unable to (re-)install let's encrypt certificate

#1

Hello

I recently installed a let’s encrypt certificate on the website igualingua.be. Sadly it expired before it was renewed. I deleted the old certificate and if I try to install a new one an error occurs.

The hosting-provider does not allow me to access any command line. The certificate can only be installed by clicking a button they’ve provided. Their support team fails to reply to my questions and I really don’t know what’s wrong here. I also don’t seem to have access to any logs with detailed error messages.

Thanks in advance.

My domain is: http://www.igualingua.be

I ran this command: Clicked provided button “create and install let’s encrypt certificate”

It produced this output: “Error installing certificate. Could not validate the choosen hostname for the certificate. No certificate issued.”

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Windows

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: mijnhostingpartner.nl

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): No

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): Yes, MSPControl

Mail received that my cert. expires within 20 day's

Hi,

I am suspecting your host was using tls-sni challenges.
Since it’s disabled due to security, that might be the issue.

Anyway, even if you can’t obtain a certificate from your hosts control panel, you can always go to https://zerossl.com or https://sslforfree.com for non-wildcard ssl.

Thank you

Something is going wrong in the MSPControlpanel. I received a mail from the provider. The are wordking on it. In the mean time it is possible to re-activate.
