# Too many certificates (50) already issued for mydomain.com

Hi Team,
I’m receiving the following error while trying to issue an SSL certificate using Certbot:
`too many certificates (50) already issued for mydomain.co in the last 168h0m0s`
We need to issue additional certificates for our subdomains under mydomain
Could you please let me know if it is possible to **increase the certificate issuance limit** for our domain, and what is the process to request a rate-limit increase?
If increasing the limit is not possible, please advise on the recommended approach for managing certificates for a large number of subdomains.

The information on rate limits including how to request an rate limit increase are documented here [Rate Limits - Let's Encrypt](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/).
You could also use a wildcard certificate which might fulfill your needs although we would need more information to help you with that.

Another workaround (and/or best practice) for large numbers of subdomains would be to utilize multiple Certificate Authorities.
If you say more details about your use case and needs, people here might be able to give more specific advice.

@prem.kumar I saw your domain name in your original post which you later deleted.
From that it looks like you are hosting a service. If you haven't yet you should review this: [Integration Guide - Let's Encrypt](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/integration-guide/)
I say this as I see about 250 certs issued for that apex domain in the last 90 days for subdomains that look like they are for different companies.
