TLS-SNI-01 validation is reaching end-of-life

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Qnap 4.3.3

Domain name: gjserver.myqnapcloud.com

Hello,

I hope someone can help, we have recived an E-mail to tell us that TSL-SNI-01 is going end of life. :frowning:

This is (was) being used on our Qnap server to enable us to connect from home.

Today this stopped working and now its not letting us on the server from home,

Does anyone know if i can get the secure certificate another way?

Thanks in advance everyone!

The current cert:

  1. Doesn’t match the Domain Name
  2. Is self-signed

So naturally browsers don’t like it:

I found this link that shows how to insert the cert into the QNAS system:
https://www.xolphin.com/support/QNAP_NAS/QNAP_NAS_-_Certificate_installation

But I’m not certain how you would get one at that name when the name points to the QNAP system itself.
