Status of Wildcard Certificate Plans

I don’t want to sound impatient or nagging or anything like that, but I’m not sure what the best place to ask about this is. The last update on wildcards I can find is from June.

Is Let’s Encrypt still on schedule to support them in January? Is there an estimate of when they will be available in the staging environment so we can update tools and such to support it in time? Is there a better place than this to ask these questions?

More verbosely: Work is on-track. We're hoping for end of November/Early Dec for a Staging environment but this isn't set in stone.
