What is the current status and roadmap for the support of obtaining and renewing certificates automatically for Nginx server? Nginx is quite popular server so I’d guess there is a decent demand for more automatic process.
The plugin does exist, but you have to request it with --nginx. It will probably be available by default without specifying --nginx in either the next Certbot release or the one after. The reason for not selecting it by default has been ongoing development to make it more reliable.
If you want to try it by adding --nginx, we’d be glad to have your feedback on how well it works for you.
