SSL installed, but will only work if I use the https:// protocol. my domain name is testedandtrusted.com.ng … if I type the domain name to the address bar, it will load and say not secure, unless I manually put the https protocol

Hi @Bayo

sounds like you don’t have redirects http -> https.

Yep, checked your domain via https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/?q=testedandtrusted.com.ng

You have a new certificate.

CertSpotter-Id Issuer not before not after Domain names LE-Duplicate next LE
962690111 CN=Let’s Encrypt Authority X3, O=Let’s Encrypt, C=US 2019-06-12 00:41:05 2019-09-10 00:41:05 mail.testedandtrusted.com.ng, testedandtrusted.com.ng, www.testedandtrusted.com.ng - 3 entries duplicate nr. 1

But your connections:

Domainname Http-Status redirect Sec. G
http://testedandtrusted.com.ng/
31.31.196.194 200 0.163 H
http://www.testedandtrusted.com.ng/
31.31.196.194 200 0.167 H
https://testedandtrusted.com.ng/
31.31.196.194 200 0.694 N
Certificate error: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch
https://www.testedandtrusted.com.ng/
31.31.196.194 200 0.607 N
Certificate error: RemoteCertificateNameMismatch

There is no redirect http -> https. And the certificate is wrong.

CN=*.hosting.reg.ru, OU=Domain Control Validated
	24.01.2019
	25.01.2020
expires in 227 days
	*.hosting.reg.ru, hosting.reg.ru - 2 entries

So first you should install the certificate. Then add redirects http -> https.
