No, the last VirtualHost config you showed for your HTTP (port 80) did not have any redirection. Is that still what that VHost looks like

It remains the same.
But the HTTP to HTTPS redirection is mentioned in bitnami.conf. Is it the correct way or do we have to have it in httpd-vhosts.conf?
The VirtualHost that handles the request must have the redirect. Your bitnami.conf is only the default VHost when none other are selected.
You should learn more about how Apache works. We are not a general advice forum for Apache configuration. Perhaps another volunteer will offer help anyway but I've described this multiple times already.
