SSH Closed Accidentally Before I hit "Enter" At Last Step

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is: fabhomedecors.com

I ran this command: ```on AWS lightsail SSH.
sudo certbot -d $DOMAIN -d $WILDCARD --manual --preferred-challenges dns certonly

It produced this output: Enter TXT to DNS record type and confirm hit "Enter". At this point before I hit Enter, my SSH accidentally closed. I don't know how to get back to finish updating the certificates. At this point I don't have any certificates.

My web server is (include version): Amazon Lightsail

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Amazon Lightsail.

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don't know): Yes

I'm using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): No

The version of my client is (e.g. output of `certbot --version` or `certbot-auto --version` if you're using Certbot):

Just try it again, shouldn’t be a problem.

You can use software like GNU screen or tmux so that you can run stuff in terminals that won’t exit if you get disconnected.

Aside from that, Let’s Encrypt is intended to be used with automated certificate validation and renewal, if possible. The Amazon tutorial you’re following gives bad advice. You should find a better one.

Route 53 has an API that can be used for automated DNS validation; I don’t know if Lightsail gives access to it.

If you don’t really need a wildcard certificate, you could also consider using HTTP validation.

Edit: If you’re using Bitnami, they have decent documentation.
