Hi Let's Encrypt Community,

There’s been a recurring issue when embedding videos edited with a slow-motion walk CapCut template (Top 12 Slow Motion Walk CapCut Template - Direct Links 2024) on websites secured with Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates.

The problem occurs as follows:

  1. When trying to load these videos on HTTPS-enabled pages, browsers sometimes block the content, flagging it as mixed content.
  2. Even when hosted on secure platforms, the video fails to display in certain cases due to incorrect embedding practices or player compatibility issues.
  3. Some performance concerns also arise, like slow loading times for high-resolution video content, which affects user experience on secure websites.

Steps taken so far include:

  • Ensuring the hosting service is SSL-compliant for the video files.
  • Verifying all links and embed codes use HTTPS.
  • Compressing video files for better performance.

Is there any specific configuration or workaround for ensuring such embedded content doesn’t trigger mixed content warnings or performance lags? Advice on best practices for managing secure video hosting and playback on SSL-enabled websites would be highly appreciated.

That message comes from the browser. Are you able to use the Developer Tools of that browser. There should be info there to say exactly why it reports that error.

Are there sites secured by certificates from other Certificate Authorities that don't show this warning ? because that would be extremely odd :slight_smile:
