SERVFAIL on www domain

I am trying to configure letsencrypt for the first time on my server, but am running into this error message during the certificate request:

Failed authorization procedure. www.macoweb.nl (http-01): urn:acme:error:connection :: The server could not connect to the client to verify the domain :: DNS problem: SERVFAIL looking up A for www.macoweb.nl

A request with just the domain without www does indeed succeed, so I am running that with SSL now, but I would still like to have www domain also work.

As far as I can see, the www domain resolves correctly, but I have to admit DNS is not a topic I know a lot about.

Can anyone give me some guidance what might be the problem here?

Thanks!

Nevermind. Got it working now.

I needed to just type ‘www’ in the hostname field in the DNS admin tool, instead of the full domain name.
