Rpi os, not sure what to select

Im here

im trying to fill the
"My HTTP website is running"

The software is nginx.

But im using raspberry pi os.
so im not sure which os to select.

I click the help but that just takes me to some place talking about completely different things.

What should i select as software, being on a raspberry pi os?

Raspbian is based on Debian, so you might choose that OS. However, even though the Raspbian repository is also based upon Debians repository, it's not identical. So maybe the Debian instructions will work, maybe not. Worth a try.

and should i try Debian 9, 10 or testing?

would it not be best if the authors of letsencrypt would just tell us this?

rather than having people guessing left and right.

That depends on what version of Raspbian you're running. I'm running Raspbian based on Debian buster:

osiris@raspberrypi:~$ cat /etc/os-release
PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)"
NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_ID="10"
VERSION="10 (buster)"
VERSION_CODENAME=buster
ID=raspbian
ID_LIKE=debian
HOME_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/"
SUPPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianForums"
BUG_REPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianBugs"
osiris@raspberrypi:~$

Certbot is developed by EFF, not Let's Encrypt, since 2016. Also, there are soooooo many different flavours of Linux out there. It would be a humongous list if they'd add every possible distribution. Although Raspbian is perhaps rather popular indeed.

You are helpful.

They should put a raspberry pi option in there, and have it just a link to this answer. that would be significantly better than what they currently have.
