Perfect example of 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'

Followed the instructions on / to install on Debian 9.
This is as far I could get to:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
  Processing triggers for systemd (232-25)

sudo snap install --classic certbot
  certbot 10.78 MB / 47.49 MB [==============================>------HANGS here


Is there anything shown by:
sudo apt list --upgradable

Could you share where your server is hosted/what your ISP is?

This could be an instance of If there is a networking problem with the snap download servers, it would be helpful to be able to know where you're connecting from.
