New ssl certificate on new server

I currently have a working e-commerce site with another ssl issued by godaddy.

I am now building a new website and will eventually move everything over once the new server is ready. I tried to create and install a new Let’s Encrypt ssl certificate for the new server using Certbot but failed on the challenge test during the certificate creation process. I guess it is because the new ssl refers to the same domain name as my current site.

Is there anyway to get around this so that I can installed the new Let’s Encrypt cert on the new server without affecting the working of my current site. Please advise. Thank you.
