Need Help Getting a Certificate with SAN

So I have two domains I need ssl on I followed a tutorial in creating a san certificate here https://geekflare.com/san-ssl-certificate/ for my server. I own an asustor that uses your company for certificates but I having issues to create them. I follow directions I want to know how I can my certificate sign by an authority so I can get a certificate with SAN. I hope I am doing this right I am trying to run SSl on two domains.

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better. Note: you must provide your domain name to get help. Domain names for issued certificates are all made public in Certificate Transparency logs (e.g. https://crt.sh/?q=example.com), so withholding your domain name here does not increase secrecy, but only makes it harder for us to provide help.

My domain is:

I ran this command:

It produced this output:

My web server is (include version):

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):

My hosting provider, if applicable, is:

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know):

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel):

The version of my client is (e.g. output of certbot --version or certbot-auto --version if you’re using Certbot):

It sounds like you have one of these Network-Attached Storage (NAS) units: https://www.asustor.com/en/, and you’re currently running the website for lakewoodatcorpuschristi.com from it, and you’d like to also run the website for wireso.com from the same device. Is that right?

If so, the first place you should look is in the documentation for your ASUSTOR NAS that describes its web serving and certificate handling functions. Can you share a link to that documentation here and we can help you understand it?

Thanks,
Jacob

I do and I read it there is a place with it says i can add a [Subject Alternative Name]: If this certificate needs to be used on multiple domains, please enter the names of the other domains.(Not a necessary item.) but I get errors doing that. The error is from you guys I believe I think it only lets me put emails. That I am so confused I can get you the error code Unable to apply settings. Please try again. (Ref. 5401). So i trying to create the key and certificate myself that is the only option I have. https://www.asustor.com/online/College_topic?topic=324&lan=en

Can you share a screenshot of the screen when you’ve filled out “Subject Alternative Name” (before submitting), and then a screenshot of the error you get?

Oh, I see you posted the error message earlier and I missed it. Sorry about that.

Unfortunately this error message doesn’t have enough detail for us to figure out whether it’s a Let’s Encrypt issue or an ASUSTOR issue. You should file a support request with ASUSTOR asking them what “Ref 5401” means and how to find more error details.

If you wanted to try one thing before filing a support request with ASUSTOR, you could try filling in the Subject Alternative Name field using commas instead of separate lines: wireso.com,lakewoodatcorpuschristi.com.

It did not work as I said the reason why I wanted to just make the key and certificate. trying to get a hold of Asustor is a joke lol.

The number of certificates issued by Let’s Encrypt for your domain name has reached its limit. (Ref. 5017) can you fix that for me

It is on wireso I do not know how to remove them.

We don’t have the ability to temporarily override rate limits, I’m sorry.

I’d encourage you to keep trying. Unfortunately, without getting a more meaningful error message from the ASUSTOR software, there’s not much we can do to help you. Sorry about that.

ok so how do I fix the rate limit thing or what can I do to bypass it.

So the problem turn out to be the wireso having that limit and because of that I can not fix it I really need to fix this issue I guessing the limit does not reset after sometime.

Correct. It depends on the limit but most likely the limit you are hitting will reset in a bit under a week. See https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/ for details.

Ok so wait it out a week and i be ok
