My site is hitting error 500 i couldnt proceed when the first two lines of code on how to secure apache

Probably, yes.

That shouldn't be the case. Usually, the files in sites-enabled are symbolic links to the files in sites-available, so that the files in both directories are actually the same.

So something is not correct it seems.

Anyway, I'm off now, maybe someone else can pitch in from now on.

certbot probably didn't find the HTTP vhost for jobsdojo.com, so it couldn't configure the redirection for you.

That said, redirections are a very simple thing to do.
You can do a web search to include your web server type and you'll find dozens of examples.

You should uncomment both of those. A ServerAlias is unusual without a ServerName and you probably want the www subdomain working at some point anyway.

Here is a list of issued Certificates crt.sh | jobsdojo.com, the latest being 2023-03-22.
Namely this one, which has SANs containing jobsdojo.com & www.jobsdojo.com.

Only Port 80 is open to the domain name, so I cannot check the Certificate.
