Letsencrypt-win-simple and Apache on Windows - Setting up HTTP to HTTPS Redirect

Please fill out the fields below so we can help you better.

My domain is: ged.logistica-nord.fr

I ran this command: N/A

It produced this output: N/A

My web server is (include version): Apache 2.4 for windows

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Windows Server 2012

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: OVH

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): Yes

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): No

I set up a DMS on my dedicated server but i would like to redirect URL in HTTPS, for example :
ged.logistica-nord.fr” -> “https://ged.logistica-nord.fr

So i use “letsencrypt-win-simple”, with the command :
"letsencrypt.exe --manualhost --webroot --test"
The certificate has been generated, after that i modified http-ssl.conf with the good alias, etc … but there is no result.

I ask your help because, i follow many which explain how install certificate and tutorials for that, but id didn’t work for me. I do not know what to do.
Excuse me for my english i’m french

Thanks in advance for your answer

Hi @Pocho

Break down the problem into smaller steps

A) You have obtained the certificate and installed it correctly for your Apache server

B) The redirection on Apache is not part of the SSL configuration but rather part of the server block configurations

An example can be found here: https://wiki.apache.org/httpd/RedirectSSL
