Just realized ISRG Root X2 is in my Firefox root store!

Wow, just wow. I didn't expect it this soon.

Also Chrome on Android 11, I think. But that's probably Chrome, because I don't find it in the system trust store.

If only I had a way to serve every client with the minimum possible chain they need... :joy:

So I asked to apply for X2

Be sure you know the consequences: it means you go from supporting Android >= 2.3.6 to Android >= 7.1.1 (if you serve an ECC certificate)

i using andriod 12

It's not about what you use, it's about what people connecting to your website use.

Only you can know if using one or the other is more appropriate.

More compatibility or more speed: that is the question.

I want speed.. because I use EC certificate from the beginning. Advanced always has someone to promote rapid development.

For example, without Letencrypt's push to make encryption widely available for free, it wouldn't be so fast that nearly all websites and servers use encryption certificates. We want to lead advanced technology and apply it widely as soon as possible.
