# Is the expiration of the DST Root CA X3 certificate affecting social networks?

Good afternoon, Out of curiosity Is it possible that the certificate that expired on 9/30/2021, is affecting social networks such as facebook, instagram, whatsapp? .  
Do you have version control?  
Are there compatibility issues?

Thank you for accepting me in the community, if I can contribute in something let me know, I am a software developer and I do pentesting. I speak Spanish too.

Currently, there's a global outage for those sites/apps, so probably not related.
