hey everyone, my doubt is regrading ssl certificate validity in case of TLD change. I will explain by example.
Lets say I have a domain co.work, I have generated a certificate of a subdomain test.co.work. Now we migrated co.work as a TLD and create a test.co.work as a domain. So my doubt is the earlier certificate is still valid for test.co.work or not?
If I understand correctly, you're intending to add (or move to) a subdomain, while previously using a certificate for the registered (apex) domain.
If so, no your existing certificate only covers the apex domain (unless it has a wildcard) and not any subdomains. However, you can issue a new certificate for the subdomain.
