I tried to donate, but

First I could not find a one-time donation link, so I tried the recurring link, and nothing happens.

Browser: Brave 1.83.112 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Welcome @jwdonahue The Donation page works for me:

Is that the one you were using?

On that page, I clicked on this link: https://letsencrypt.org/donate/#donate-form-anchor

Yes, that is just a hyperlink to the donation form on that same page. Even without doing that you should see the below form on that page. Do you see below section?

If so, just click One-time, enter the amount, and click Next

I do not that form. This is the entire page, as far as I can tell. Seems pretty silly, linking back to a point on the page, that confirmed I was heading in the right direction. I also tried disabling dark mode for that page, and clicking on the "JOIN TIMMY, BE A NERD" button. It seems the page is full of useless circular links.

Can you try a different browser perhaps? The form from Mikes screenshot should be on the right side of the page, even without clicking anything.

I had some time to spare this morning, and a cup of coffee. I use the Brave browser with "Shields up" enabled. I just disabled it, and now I see the form. I reported the page to Brave, for them to work out whether it would be appropriate to put the page on one of their exception lists. My advice to all web developers, is stop using complicated scripting systems that aren't just scary, but represent actual privacy/security threats to their users.

Agreed. It looks like websites nowadays use the most complicated scripted stuff for the most simple of pages.

In this specific case, it might not be possible differently unfortunately, as it looks like it's some kind of third party service that's being used.

No, that will never happen. I temporarily disabled Brave's "Shields up" feature, made the donation, then restored the security feature. I also reported the page to Brave, for their evaluation.

I interact with many sites via the Brave browser, that use third party services, and don't run foul of its security and privacy features.

The donate form is a third-party iframe, powered by Donorbox. It does make some sense to block third-party iframes, as many ads and other tracking technologies use that same format. However, blocking third-party iframes is also always going to be a huge source of false-positives, as it blocks things like captchas, too. So I'm sure Brave has some allowlist of common iframes they don't block, and Donorbox just isn't big enough to be on that list yet.
