I get hundreds of spam emails by Let's Encrypt

Especially if you still have an account with them, I'd definitely suggest reaching out to their support and seeing if you can find somebody with a clue. I'm guessing they somehow have your email down as their ACME contact (maybe you were their first customer to enable HTTPS through Let's Encrypt with them?) accidentally.

Yeah it's been a few years since I have used any hosting service at all.

I will contact their support to let them know.

I will also transfer my domains to a different hosting service (was planning on doing this anyways).

I thought unsubscribing was permanent? Not just for a year?

If you hit that link, you won’t get any expiration notices for the next year.

In your defense though, I myself was under the impression that unsubscription was permanent, but you couldn't resubscribe for a year.
