I deleted the “archive” folder accidentally

how i can backup or re-create?

#2

Did you make a backup?

As far as I know, certbot uses the certificates in the /archive/ directory to know for which hostnames it needs to (re)create a cert, so without the initial cert, you’ll need to re-issue every certificate manually, like you did the first time.

Yup.

Still, the CSRs and copies of the private keys are in /etc/letsencrypt/csr/ and /etc/letsencrypt/keys/ (with simple incrementing numeric filenames), and /var/log/letsencrypt/ might still have a record of everything you’ve done. In an emergency, it should be possible to download the certificates and reconstruct everything.

thx you guys!.

Maybe you know some tutorial to migrate the certificates from vps1 to vps 2? (THE IP CHANGES)

@jose2, are you planning to follow @mnordhoff’s “emergency” suggestion, or just migrating to a new VPS? Could you just regenerate everything on the new VPS by issuing new certificates there?
