How to get the rate limit information through commands and questions on renewal

Hi,

How to get the rate-limit information through commands. Using certbot-auto to generate the certificates.

My web server is (include version): Server version: Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu)

Two Apache servers

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version):
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS
Release: 12.04
Codename: precise

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): Yes
Questions:

  1. How to get the rate-limit information. How it works?
  2. After renewal process, does it replace the existing certificates in live directory.
  3. As per document it says < 30 days automatically renew the certificates. Does this means we have only 2 months validity by default?

Need help on the same.

You can get some live data for particular rate limits with

Yes.

No, you have three months' validity, but the last month is not used if the renewal process is successful. In this case, the last month functions as a safety margin in case a problem with the renewal is encountered (because you will have up to one month to discover and fix the problem before the certificate expires).

Cool… Thank you @schoen for your prompt response on the same.
