How can I get my cert

Hello Community,

I’ve got an OTRS running on a Debian system on a vm-hoster. But my domain is provided by an other hoster where I redirected the URL-Requests to the IP of the vm. On the vm I 've already a self-sign certificate which works properbly.
My question is, how can I get a letsencrpyt certificate on my vm with/out proving that the domain belongs to me.
Thanks for the Support in advance.

My domain is: greulich-IT.de

I ran this command: openssl

It produced this output:

My web server is (include version): Apache2

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): debian > 8

My hosting provider, if applicable, is: Strato.de

I can login to a root shell on my machine (yes or no, or I don’t know): on the machine yes , on the domain hoster no.

I’m using a control panel to manage my site (no, or provide the name and version of the control panel): webapp

You can't. But if the domain is directed to the IP of your machine, you do control the domain, and should be able to run your desired client there to get a cert.

Thanks for the answer, i did work finally like you said.
