G'day all, I need help

Site is accessible just no cert. I'll have the ports closed by the time you read this. But yes can access with rocket.pmsh.net

Thanks legends, what's left of my brain is fried.

My domain is: rocket.pmsh.net

I ran this command: certbot --nginx

It produced this output: Requesting a certificate for rocket.pmsh.net and www.rocket.pmsh.net

Certbot failed to authenticate some domains (authenticator: nginx). The Certificate Authority reported these problems:
Domain: rocket.pmsh.net
Type: unauthorized
Detail: Invalid response from http://rocket.pmsh.net/.well-known/acme-challenge/kwyhqfAlTo_OZOQy0FOgjwtLUhsqdrHruQ8ilr9a79w [101.118.8.58]: "\n\n\n <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" class="meteor-css" href="/6cbabb4e17621234bc6ff688395"

My web server is (include version): snapy rocketchat 3.18.1

The operating system my web server runs on is (include version): Ubuntu 21.4

I can login to a root shell on my machine: yes

The version of my client is : 1.19.0

Welcome to the Let's Encrypt Community :slightly_smiling_face:

As you can tell by the many, many thousands of threads in our #help category, you aren't anywhere close to the first to struggle with obtaining a certificate, so don't be too hard on yourself. :blush: (though I did get a laugh out of your topic title. :grin:)

From your certbot output it looks like you might have some type of rewrite/redirect interfering. Without your webserver being accessible (port 80 open), I cannot leverage any of my debugging tools.

You are asking for our help, but seem to have shutdown (presumably to resolve this on your own before you reopen).
If you are to go at it alone, I'd start by reviewing the entire nginx config, with:
sudo nginx -T

Cool.. port 80 was open at time cert was being issued. How I understand the link you shared, port 80 on the Domain provider should be set up as a redirection to 443 and on server side port 80 should direct traffic to servers IP as well as 443? The rocketchat instants is using 3000.
Thank you for assisting

Cheers, I'll get logs and post here. Hopefully I can get my head around this, appreciate everyone's help.

There seems to be much missing from that output.

There is. Is it fine to post on public forum?

Yes, or you can send it to me directly via PM if you are worried.

And the site remains unreachable.

Sorry first time.. configure nginx reverse proxy like this.
sudo nano /etc/nginx/conf.d/rocketchat.conf

upstream backend {
server 192.168.3.50:3000;
}

server {
listen 80;

rocket.pmsh.net;
access_log /var/log/nginx/rocket.chat.access.log;
error_log /var/log/nginx/rocket.chat.error.log;

location / {
proxy_pass http://backend/;
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
proxy_set_header Host $http_host;
proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;
proxy_set_header X-Forward-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;
proxy_set_header X-Forward-Proto http;
proxy_set_header X-Nginx-Proxy true;
proxy_redirect off;
}
}

The site remains unreachable.
Does it even work from within the same network?
Do you have a firewall?
